Job description: #IND

  • Performing routine radiologic studies on the inmate population as ordered by appropriate clinicians.
  • Correctly positioning patients for radiographs and determining the level of radiation intensity to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Using standard radiographic equipment, including but not limited to systems produced by GE Medical Systems and Kodak.
  • Accomplishing all procedures within standard infection control protocols.
  • Assisting in patient dismissal from the clinic upon completion of treatment as well as ensuring follow up care instructions are understood

Education and Experience

Individuals providing radiological technician services under the contract award must meet all the following requirements:

1. Education: Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration (or the equivalent) in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or from other accrediting agencies as recognized by the Department of Education (DOE).

2. Certification: Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R). Further, the individual must possess proof of their current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

3. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 40hrs schedule (0600 and 180)
