We are looking for Radiology Technologist that are CT qualified for a potential opportunity at the Leavenworth and/or Topeka VA Medical Centers

Key duties and responsibilities:

Registered Radiology Technologist/ Computed Tomography ARRT RT (R)(CT)

> RT(R)(CT) Technologists are responsible for the performance of diagnostic radiology procedures and to perform the full complement of exams.

> Must be fully competent to operate a Toshiba Aquillion 160 Multi-slice scanners or similar type of equipment, and to perform the full complement of contrast and non-contrast exams generated by this technology, as demonstrated by past work experience.

> Maintain records of patients treated, examinations performed, views taken and settings used. The technologist shall be responsible for entering exam information into the medical centers Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) as required by service policies and procedures. The technologist shall perform other duties as assigned.

> The technologist is responsible for room preparation in anticipation of the examination; i.e., assuring that the supplies necessary for the examination are present and in a state of readiness.

> Converts radiology exams to digital computer images in VISTA Imaging using Digital Radiography (DR), Computerized Radiography (CR), or digital scanners.

> Shall work under the general guidance of the Supervisory Diagnostic Radiology Technologist and the direct guidance of the radiologist during exams. Works

without direct supervision during normal tours of duty; relies on supervisory technologist for resolution of problems with equipment/patient flow beyond the scope of the technologist.


* Personnel assigned by the Contractor to perform Radiologic Technologist services require a minimum two years of hospital experience or two years of ambulatory care experience.

* Registered Radiology Technologist Computed Tomography RT(R)(CT) shall be American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT(R) certified and maintain a current Computed Tomography (CT) license.

* All Technologist Must have and Maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Work Hours

*employees will have the ability to choose their preferred shift 45 days in advance*

Registered Radiology Technologist/ Computed Tomography ARRT RT (R)(CT)

1) Monday through Sunday

2) First Shift: Staggered shifts

* 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

* 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

* 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

* 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

* 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

3) Second shift: 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (midnight)

4) Third shift: 12:00 am (midnight) - 8:00 am
